What is an Urban Planning Advisory Committee (CCU) ?

In accordance with section 146 of the Land Use Planning and Development Act, the Comité consultatif d'urbanisme is constituted by a by-law adopted by the municipal council. In La Malbaie, the CCU is made up of five citizens and two elected municipal officials.

The Comité consultatif d'urbanisme is an organization mandated by the municipal council to advise on applications submitted with respect to planning and land use, including requests related to minor exemption process and requests concerning Site Planning and Architectural Integration Programs (PIIA) Acting in an advisory capacity, the CCU issues recommendations and opinions to city council so that it benefits from the contribution of elected officials and citizens.
