Schedule for separate collection of recyclables



Separate collections are carried out every two weeks.


MONDAY La Malbaie sector (streets not served on Tuesdays).
Pointe-au-Pic sector

TUESDAY Following streets in La Malbaie sector: McLean East and West, Trudel, Belleville East and West, Vincent, Patrick-Morgan, John-Nairne, Saint-Étienne, du Jardin, Laure-Conan, de la Gare and Forget.
Rivière-Malbaie sector

THURSDAY Saint-Fidèle sector
Cap-à-l'Aigle sector
Sainte-Agnès sector


Recyclable Materials:

Paper and cardboard: newspapers, circulars, magazines, books, phone books, office paper, envelopes, brown paper bags, flat carton, egg cartons, corrugated cardboard.

Glass: : transparent and coloured glass containers, bottles used for water, soft drinks and alcoholic beverages, all purpose glass jars.

Metal: metal and aluminium cans, aluminium pans and dishes.

Plastic: containers used for soft drinks, water, household cleaning products (such as bleach, soap), cosmetics, food (such as for yogurt, margarine, ice cream), plastic dishware. (Look for the triangular markers with codes 1, 2 and 5)

Multi-layer: milk boxes (plasticized cardboard), juice boxes (Tetra Pak or other types of plasticized cardboard).





Non-recyclable Materials:

Paper and cardboard: aluminized paper and cardboard packaging (chips), waxed paper, carbon paper, food-contaminated paper and cardboard, blotting paper, tissue paper, dryer softener, disposable diapers, butcher’s paper, building materials.

Glass: incandescent and fluorescent light bulbs, mirrors, windows, crystal, Pyrex, porcelain and pottery.

Metal: paint, solvent and oil cans, pressurized containers, electrical appliances, propane cylinders.

Plastic: toys, bottle caps, plastic hose, maple sap tubing, Styrofoam (cups and dishes), plastic bags.



Special Waste Recovery
Take note that the following waste products can be dropped off free of charge by citizens at the locations below.

Paint: Coop Centre Agricole de Charlevoix, 2190, boulevard de Comporté, La Malbaie

Automotive batteries: U.A.P. La Malbaie lnc, 1980, boulevard de Comporté, La Malbaie

Used motor oil (maximum of 20 litres): Canadian Tire 375: boulevard de Comporté, suite 118,
La Malbaie

Tires: during the collection of bulky waste in early May and late September or at the MRC de Charlevoix’s sanitary landfill site located at 119, chemin Snigoll, Clermont.
